Computing

Vision Statement
The aim of computing at St Anne's is to equipt the children with the knowledge and skills to prepare them for life in a digital world. We understand that a high-quality computing education is essential for pupils to understand modern information and communication technologies, and for them to use these skills to become confident, competent and creative learners. Online safety is embedded from the start where children build lifelong skills in staying safe online both in school and at home. Computing is an essential part of everyday life and we reflect this by incorporating computing skills within other areas of the curriculum. We aim to inspire and motivate pupils to prepare them for the challenge of a rapidly developing and changing technological world.

Computing Ambassadors
Ambassadors from each class will be chosen to promote and be advocates for their subject. These children feedback to the Computing Lead and are involved in Computing events during the year - particularly when celebrating 'Safer Internet Day.'

Online Safety
We will be using the new and improved Online Safety Curriculum within Purple Mash - 2besafe to cover all aspects of keeping safe online. We have also purchased online safety books for every class to explore safety in a new ways. These are the texts we have used for each year group -
