Our Nursery trip!
Today we said goodbye to our butterflies. See our butterfly story below.
We have been enjoying our Friday morning PE sessions. REMEMBER:The children can wear sportswear on this day.
The children have all been planting bean seeds. We are hoping to grow a giant beanstalk like in the story Jack and the beanstalk.
The children had lots of fun celebrating pancake day this week. We tasted pancakes, chose our favourite toppings, and had a pancake race!
Thank you to all the parents who sent donations for our Willowbrook Hospice fundraising day! The children had lots of fun playing pass the parcel with Year 5!
Role playing in our new McDonald’s area.
Our new jungle reading area based on the story ‘Monkey and Me.’ Next week we will be drawing maps to show which animals we would see on our adventure.
Welcome back and Happy New Year! We are developing 2 new areas in Nursery… a jungle reading corner and a role play McDonald’s! Watch this space for more photos.

Our Super Athletic fundraising event!
This week we enjoyed a visit from lots of sea creatures! We had the opportunity to hold starfish and find out lots of interesting things about life in the sea!
11.11.16 We have had lots of fun making rockets from boxes and tubes. Our homework this week is to create a house like the three little pigs at home.
Early Years Bonfire. Next week we will follow this up with lots of firework themed art and crafts.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Liturgical Service of Welcome today. When we arrived at Nursery we continued the welcome celebrations with a welcome party filled with games, dances and party food!
The children have been asking about different signs around school, and one child asked..’Do we have an upstairs?’ We decided to take a walk around school, looking for different signs and showing the children the upstairs in Key Stage 2.
This week we have been talking about our families and how we are all unique and special. Outside the children were digging and found potatoes! We have followed this interest to find out how we eat potatoes in different ways. We will continue this next week to find out different types of potatoes.
